General Policies

Dogs must be at least 3 months old and have received the appropriate vaccinations, including DHPP, Bordatella and Rabies. Please understand that if your dog is not current on vaccinations, he or she is the one susceptible to disease.

Dogs must have a negative fecal exam within the last 12 months.

All dogs must be healthy and with no communicable diseases.

Dogs must not show serious aggression to humans or other dogs.

Owners acknowledge the understanding that their dog is in a multi-dog play environment and as such may have injuries, scratches, nicks, soar paws and strained and exercised muscles. Owners acknowledge that they are responsible for all injuries to their own dog.

Owners acknowledge that because their are over 250 strains of kennel cough, and that the vaccinations cover only a few of those strains, their dog may contract kennel cough while at the facility. This is similar to a child contracting a cold while at daycare. Owners acknowledge that they are responsible for all medical conditions of their dog.

Payment is due when services are rendered. Planet Canine accepts personal checks, credit cards, and cash.

Center credit (valid for 6 months) will be given for overpayments and refunds other that the non-refundable deposits for peak timeframe's.

A $30 returned check fee will apply to all checks returned regardless of reason.

If your dog exhibits signs of illness during his/her stay (coughing, sneezing, diarrhea, vomiting, fever), there are three options:

You can pick up the dog

We can keep the dog in our isolation room for an additional charge

We can take your dog to a vet

Because the health and welfare of your dog is our primary concern, if we are unable to get in touch with you or your designee within two hours, we reserve the right to take the dog to your vet, our vet, or the emergency vet depending on the severity of the symptoms. Owner agrees that any cost of veterinary treatment incurred will be reimbursed to Planet Canine upon presentment of the veterinary invoice.

Dogs will only be released to a person authorized in the dogs file. If someone other than one of the authorized persons is to pick up the dog, an authorized person must inform Planet Canine in writing, and the person picking up must provide identification. For the safety of your dog(s), we will refuse to release your dog to someone else without written approval from you.

Planet Canine is open the following hours for drop-off and pick-up.

Monday - Friday

7am - 7pm

Saturday

10am - 5pm

Sunday 12(noon)- 2pm(pick-up and drop off-only)

Planet Canine often uses photos taken during daycare, overnight stays, spa treatments, and training. Owner acknowledges and authorizes Planet Canine to use photos of their dog in any legal manner.

If your dog is destructive, please describe their destructive tendencies in the new dog information form. Owner acknowledges that they may be financially responsible for destruction of furniture, walls, doors, and dog beds over and above normal wear and tear.

Daycare Policies

Dogs should have eaten breakfast at LEAST 1.5 hours before arriving to daycare. This precaution is to prevent bloat, a potentially deadly situation. If your dog does exhibit the signs of bloat while at Planet Canine, we will transport him/her immediately to your vet, our vet, or the emergency vet.

Dogs must be spayed or neutered if 6 months of age or older to attend open play. This is to prevent accidental mating and to reduce the chance of hormonal related behavioral issues that can cause fighting.

Advance reservations for daycare are requested. These can be made in person or by phone. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a space-available basis.

Planet Canine requires an evaluation of all dogs prior to attending daycare.

Dogs must not exhibit extreme aggressive tendencies to attend daycare.

Your pet may check in or check out during active hours of operation. You will incur a charge for the full day of daycare regardless of check in time. We recommend you drop off your dog at 7am and arrive by 6:46pm to pick up your dog. If your dog is not picked up prior to the facility closing, your dog will have to stay the night, and you will be charged the overnight fee.

Recurring daycare appointment schedule are recommended in multi-day discount packages are available. We recommend that a dog attend a minimum of two days per week to achieve the maximum benefit of daycare.

We request 24 hour notice for daycare appointment cancellation or daycare as reserved will be charged.

Overnight stay

There is a two night minimum during peak period overnight care. Peak periods include Spring Break, Memorial Day, Forth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

The entire amount due must be paid in advance when making a reservation for peak periods. Center credit will be given for amounts paid less the cancellation fee if five days notice is given for cancellations or reservation changes. Cancellation fee is equivalent to one overnight stay.

Your dog may check in or check out during active hours of operation. We recommend you drop your dog off at 7am. You will incur a charge for the day your pet checks in regardless of the check in time. Check outs after 12pm(noon) will be charged for that day's stay.
